Ohana is the Hawaiian word for family, togetherness. Each individual picture of this ensemble stands for itself and, due to the shape of naturally created structures by the forces of the environment, has strong similarities with the other pictures. The coral with the graphic structure was found at a depth of 40 meters in the Indian Ocean. The dunes with their harmoniously smooth, soft shapes were photographed from a height of 300 meters in the Namibian interior and the third “family member” completes the group with a view of a glacier river at a height of more than 4,000 meters in the Indian part of Tibet.
Finkbeiner & Salm
The contemporary photography collages of Finkbeiner & Salm are the impressive result of their individual visibility to reality. For example, working on documentary productions for the BBC takes the men behind the camera to the most remote places in the world and supplies the material for the artistic photography to Finkbeiner & Salm. "FLAMINGO CONCERT" was captured with the help of a drone over Lake Bogoria in Kenya. The artistic focus of the Berlin-based photographer Duo lies in the creation of unique images that fascinate through harmony and a perfection of structure and form.
