Most viewers approach curiously and puzzle over the classification of the natural phenomenon shown here. In the freezing cold winter of 2006, even the flowing Berlin Havel completely froze with long-lasting frost to minus 25 degrees Celsius. Far from the shore, the ice sheet was still 30 cm thick and showed in some places these incredible towers, gas bubbles rising from the river bottom and then frozen. Since it hadn't snowed for weeks, the ice was absolutely clear and transparent.
Finkbeiner & Salm
The contemporary photography collages of Finkbeiner & Salm are the impressive result of their individual visibility to reality. For example, working on documentary productions for the BBC takes the men behind the camera to the most remote places in the world and supplies the material for the artistic photography to Finkbeiner & Salm. "FLAMINGO CONCERT" was captured with the help of a drone over Lake Bogoria in Kenya. The artistic focus of the Berlin-based photographer Duo lies in the creation of unique images that fascinate through harmony and a perfection of structure and form.
